The SEARHC WISEWOMAN Women’s Health Program and Brenner’s Fine Clothing and Gifts will host the ninth annual three-mile Breast Cancer Awareness Walk at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, behind Brenner’s. Day-of-event registration opens at 8:30 a.m., and early registration is available at Brenner’s. The usual course goes over the O’Connell Bridge to the airport and back.
This walk helps raise awareness for breast cancer and its treatment. It also serves as a fundraiser for the Sitka Cancer Survivors Society. People who donate to the Sitka Cancer Survivors Society will receive a free gift. To learn more, contact Susan Suarez at 966-8459 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
